Who we are

Dagmara Studios is a photography studio based at 8A Minshull St, Knutsford, WA16 6HG. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Dagmara Studios is the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@dagmarastudios.com or 07809 280348.

What we collect

We only collect information you give us, and only what we need:

• Enquiry details. Your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give it, and whatever you write in your message.
• Booking and session details. Once you book, the date, location and nature of the shoot, plus any notes you share to help us prepare.
• Photographs. The images made during your session, which are personal data about you and anyone else in the frame.
• Payment records. Invoices and proof of payment. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us.

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or profiling of any kind on this website, and we do not buy personal data from anyone else.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To answer your enquiry and arrange a shoot — because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and then to perform that contract.
• To deliver and store your photographs — to perform our contract with you.
• To keep financial records — to comply with our legal obligations, including HMRC record keeping.
• To show work in our portfolio, on this website or on social media — only with your consent, which you give separately and can withdraw at any time.

Showing your photographs publicly

We will never publish photographs of you or your family without asking first. If you agree and later change your mind, tell us and we will take them down. Images already printed, published in a third party's material, or shared by others before you withdrew consent may not be recoverable, but we will remove ours.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services needed to run the studio, and only as far as they need it:

• Pixieset hosts private client galleries where you view, download and order prints.
• Our email, invoicing and payment providers, for correspondence and payment records.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to message us that way. Those messages are governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
• Professional printers and framers, where a print order requires it.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the safeguards required under UK data protection law.

Fonts served by Google

This site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font file from Google's servers, which means your IP address is visible to Google when a page loads. No cookie is set and nothing is stored on your device by us.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking — up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Financial records — six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.
• Photographs — your online gallery stays available for the period agreed when you booked. We keep archive copies beyond that so you can reorder, unless you ask us to delete them.

Keeping it safe

Client galleries are password protected. Files are held on encrypted storage with backups, and access is limited to Dagmara. If a breach ever occurs that is likely to put your rights at risk, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner's Office without undue delay.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate information corrected;
• ask us to delete your information, where we have no obligation to keep it;
• ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
• ask for your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on.

To exercise any of these, email info@dagmarastudios.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated to current clients directly.
